Submission
Conference languages
The official conference languages will be English and French. These languages can be used both for the talks and for the electronic proceedings (which will be made available through the conference website). The official language for the final paper-published proceedings will be English only according to the Springer Verlag - that will be our publisher - regulations.
Submission and acceptance
Two forms of submissions are available: scientific or industrial.
Evaluation process
The program committee reserves the right to redirect presentations towards the appropriate track. Each submission will be subject to two referee reports under the responsability of two different members of the program committee.
Contributions will be accepted either for a 30-minute talk or for a poster session. One full day of the conference CSD&M 2011 will be dedicated to this occasion.
Scientific submissions (scientific track)
Scientific contributions should present innovative methodological, technical or scientific results. These consist in a PDF or PostScript-formatted article (12 pages max). Scientific contributions can be accepted either for a 30-minute talk or for a poster session. If a scientific contribution is only submitted for the poster session, one has to specify it at the pre-submission stage.
Subject to contribution acceptance, inclusion on the Springer proceedings book requires a 12-pages paper formatted according to specific Springer style files (see details in the "Submission" part here below).
Industrial submissions (industrial track)
The aim of industrial contributions is to present good practices, feedbacks and case studies. An industrial submission consists in a 12 pages article in PDF or in a PowerPoint presentation (15 slides max). Industrial contributions can be accepted either for a 30-minute talk or for a poster session. If industrialists only want to present their contribution for the poster session, they have to specify it at the pre-submission stage.
Accepted PowerPoint formatted industrial presentations will be made available in the electronic proceedings on the conference website, but they will not be part of the published printed proceedings, unless the authors write a complete 12-pages paper on the same topic. The refereeing of such articles will be under the responsibility of the two program committee co-chairs, and will take place during the end of the selection process & the editing process of the regular accepted papers (see details in the "Submission" part here below).
Best papers awards
The Program Committee will award best papers in academic, industrial and student categories. A prize of 1.500€ will be awarded to best academic and best industrial papers and a prize of 1.000€ to the best student paper.
Each prize will be associated with a paper (whatever the number of its authors).
The winners’ announcement will take place at the "conference farewell ceremony" on December, the 9th.
These awards are sponsored by the French association C.E.S.A.M.E.S (Center of Excellence on Systems, Architecture, Management, Economy & Strategy) that has created the conference CSD&M with the support of the Ecole Polytechnique-Thales « Complex Systems Engineering » Chair. C.E.S.A.M.E.S’ mission is to disseminate systems architecture methods and tools to key industrialists in order for them to better control the risks and speed of their technological project.
Pre-submission
Authors are invited to participate (on a voluntary basis) in a pre-submission scheme before April the 4th, 2011. They can submit their names & affiliations with the topics, keywords & abstract of the contribution they intend to submit at a later stage. They will also be able to indicate there their preferred program committee member, if any (for optimizing evaluation management). Authors that only want to present a poster (not a talk) may have to indicate this specificity at this stage.
Submission
All authors must submit their papers in PDF format through our electronic submission system before the 22nd of April, 2011. No other submission process will be accepted.
At the unique exception of PowerPoint industrial presentations submissions, papers should be prepared according to the Springer Verlag styles that can be found below.
